BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Yianni Ellenikiotis grew up in the Bay Area and is grateful to continually be surrounded by his loving family, all of whom still reside in the area. Dr. Ellenikiotis attended the University of Michigan, where he received his Bachelor’s of Science degree with highest distinction in Biology and Psychology. He will forever be a Michigan Wolverine - Go Blue! He then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he was involved in multiple research projects ranging from pediatric public health fieldwork in Ecuador to clinical analyses of orthognathic surgical patients. Following Harvard, he completed his orthodontic residency and Master's of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. At UCSF, he became heavily involved as Chief Resident and it solidified his desire to teach part time in the future. Dr. Ellenikiotis has presented at multiple conferences on obstructive sleep apnea and rapid maxillary expansion in patients with cleft lip and palate. He is passionate about orthodontics and taking the utmost care of each patient he treats.
In his free time, Dr. Ellenikiotis loves spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys the outdoors, especially camping and swimming, as well as relaxing by reading, cooking, and playing board games.
